Amy Norton holds a Master’s Degree in Child Development from Tufts University and is currently employed at Children’s Specialized Hospital.  She has designed programs for those with developmental disabilities, conducted research at leading universities, and led last year’s Family Matters parenting discussion group, based on the book “The Blessing of a Skinned Knee”.


Program II

includes series of three workshops

Social competence and self esteem are important for success in school, on the playground and in life.  Our children need to learn how to communicate effectively and develop social skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.  This series will assist parents in identifying difficulties and explore techniques that will help their children realize their full potential without creating stress.

Lois Feigenbaum has been a licensed clinical social worker for over 25 years, with a private practice focusing on children ages 4-12.  Her specialty is social skills and group interventions to help children improve their socialization. She has extensive training and experience in leading groups for children and providing professional workshops on social skills.

 

Program III

includes one stand-alone workshop

With children today being influenced in many ways - through television, advertising, music and more - parents need effective skills for setting limits based on their personal values.  This workshop will give you easy to implement, proven techniques that empower parents and children alike.

Julie Ross is the Executive Director of Parenting Horizons, an organization devoted to enriching children’s lives through parent and teacher education. She has appeared in national publications and on numerous television and radio programs.  Ms. Ross holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology from New York University and is a member of the American Counseling Association.
